Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a minimum commitment for services?
No, there is no minimum commitment for services, which can be short-term or even on a one time basis.
Q: Do you work with special diets?
Yes. Aside from being a personal chef and caterer, I'm a certified holistic nutritionist. I've helped countless clients create and maintain healthful diets.
Contact me to discuss your needs.
Q: Your services cost roughly the same as an entrée in a restaurant… why is that?
The price per meal is comparable to what you might pay at a restaurant. However, no restaurant can match the personalized service, customized menus or convenience I can offer.
My fee includes an assessment, a personalized menu based on the assessment, grocery shopping, preparation of each meal, packaging and labeling of all meals, and heating instructions.
Each meal is customized based on your dietary needs and wants and you get to enjoy your meal in the comfort of your own home.
Q: Do you use local and organic ingredients?
I source the highest quality ingredients, which tend to be mostly organic and sometimes local depending on availability.
Q: What kind of containers do you use?
It is recommended that you use glass containers. You can use your own containers or I can provide them for a one-time fee.
Q: How are my menus created?
Menus are designed several days ahead of the cook date based on an earlier inventory of food likes and dislikes and e-mailed to you for approval. Approval should be confirmed 2 days in advance in case any changes need to be made.
Q: Are the meals fully cooked?
Meals are generally fully cooked with the exception of some proteins, which need to be cooked more later. Partially cooking proteins helps prevent overcooking.
Q: Can I change the service to accommodate
my needs?
The service is completely flexible and can be changed at any time to best meet your needs.
Q: How does payment work?
Payment is requested via e-transfer once meals are prepared.
